Methodology

ChatFight Stats publishes rankings and activity metrics derived from Telegram groups where the ChatFight bot is a member. This page documents what is tracked, what is not, and how counts are produced.

What ChatFight tracks

Messages sent in Telegram groups where the ChatFight bot is a member, membership events observed by the bot, and group-level metadata such as title, detected dominant language, and last activity timestamp.

What ChatFight does not track

Direct messages between users, Telegram channels and their subscribers, messages in groups where the bot is not a member, and message content itself (only counts and attribution are stored).

How rankings are computed

Rankings sort entities by the selected metric and period. Total-period rankings use lifetime message counts; daily and weekly rankings use rolling windows of 24 hours and 7 days respectively. Ties are broken by member count for groups and by active-group count for users.

Refresh cadence and data freshness

Counts update continuously as the ChatFight bot observes messages in real time. Page-level caches are short and the Last updated indicator on every entity page reflects the most recent observation for that entity, not the rendering time of the page.
